Food Pairing (some are funnies)
Breakfast and Brunch
For the discerning brunch attendee, and the fans of Hawkeye Pierce (we know that there are still many of you out there), brunch at times includes Snap, Crackle, and Burp. For this we recommend Budweiser or Coors as thou shalt not defile SRM Beverage product in such a manner.
For the full Irish and full English breakfasts, we strongly recommend Gonzo Irish Stout. This beer is flavorful enough to hold with the eggs and black or white sausage, button mushrooms cooked in Irish butter, cooked tomato halves, and Brown soda bread or toasted pan bread of the Irish, or the bacon, eggs, sausage, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and possibly bubble and squeak of the English, yet low enough in alcohol not to lead to an early end to the day. Gonzo's dryness helps temper, not clear the palate so you won't wash away the wonderful flavors involved in these great meals, but you'll enjoy the complex flavors of the beer along with the food. If your taste does not drift toward Irish stout, Doolally and Buggy may better serve you with the full Irish or English.
Picnic Grilling
For pairing with Nathan's hot dogs, we recommend Coors Light when the mountains no longer turn blue. Hey, we acknowledge that Nathan's has done a phenomenal job marketing and capturing market share, just like Coors. We acknowledge that SRM Beverage will never have a market share in beverage anywhere near that of Nathan's in hot dogs or Coors in the beverage industry. All the same... ick to both.
For picnic grilling we recommend SRM Beverage's Doolally or Crackers with Kogel Vienna Hot Dogs, Kerns bratwurst, good hamburgers, and even some plain or marinated chicken. If you are looking for a quick marinade for grilling chicken, most mainstream Italian dressings work pretty well, just keep the chicken off potential flare ups since the oil does add to your fire.
Healthy Choices
Tofu, vegan, gluten free - pair with Mich Ultra and toddle on off. This is a craft beer operation and we're into high protein, high fat, high carbohydrate chow around here.
